Gdańsk (also known as Danzig, its German name) is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is beside the Baltic sea and as magnificient architecture. Although it was destroyed in World War II, it has been perfectly rebuilt. The city is a good departure point to the many sea resorts along the north coast.

Travel to Gdańsk
By plane: Lech Wałęsa Airport is located 14 kilometers west of Gdańsk. And services several airlines to and from the rest of Europe.

By train: The main railway station, Gdańsk Glowny, is a beautiful historic building. There are long distance trains from here to other cities in Poland and Europe.

By car: The A1 motorway connects Gdansk with Torun, Lodz, and Katowice to the south. The S7 connects Gdansk with Warsaw and Krakow.

By bus: The bus station is located just behind the main railway station. Buses can be used to travel to regional destinations that lack railway connections, such as the concentration camp in Sztutowo.

By boat: thehr is a ferry service between Gdansk and Nynäshamn, just south of Stockholm, Sweden. The trip takes 18 hours. There is also a ferry service between Gdynia and Karlskrona, Sweden. The trip takes 12.5 hours .
